WEYENBERG SRI LANKA SUCCESSFULLY FACILITATES DELIVERY OF TWO LLC'S TO SLPA, COLOMBO
After years of wrangling and re-tendering, the role of our Sri Lankan subsidiary ultimately was instrumental in winning the bid for the supply of two units single level luffing cranes - one of a capacity of 15 tons and one 10 ton crane - against fierce competition from India. The brand-new cranes were designed by Weyenberg Sri Lanka's principle, Kranbau Eberswalde (KE) and completely assembled locally, by the domestic shipyard Colombo Dockyards Ltd. The cranes were formally handed over by the OEM to SLPA on July 23, 2008.

WEYENBERG THAILAND LANDS RTG ELECTRIFICATION JOB WITH HUTCHISON TERMINAL AT LCB
Weyenberg subsidiary in Thailand, Weyenberg Technical Services (T) Co., Ltd., has been awarded a contract by Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal Ltd, Thailand, member of the world's biggest private container terminal port operator, for the supply, installation and commissioning of 12 (twelve) sets of transformers, cable reels, cable connectors and other anxiliary equipment to electrify RTG's at their terminal, currently powered by Diesel generator sets. The job is on turnkey basis, i.e. comprises all related civil, mechanical and electrical work on-site. The delivery schedule will be 36 weeks. This success reconfirms that the local Weyenberg subsidiaries are rapidly establishing themselves as competent national contractors as well as members of a dense international network of suppliers and partners to all players in the port and terminal industry, big and small. 08 May 2008

WEYENBERG TECHNICAL SERVICES (CHINA) LTD. SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED
After years of vain efforts, Weyenberg Group has finally concluded the establishment of a Joint Venture with a local partner in mainland China. The main office of our new subsidiary is in Qingdao, Shandong Province, and it is intended to establish at least two further offices in northern China within 2006. With this new venture we intend to be neearer to the markets in north and north-eastern China and to subsequently capture more business there. |
